Aside from my family, the only other thing that has remained constant for most of my life is my love for the Oakland A’s. I was 10 years old in the summer of 1988 when the Bash Brothers dominated the baseball world and the A’s got their green and gold hooks into me. They have never let go, now nearly 30 years later.
Life has taken me away from the Bay Area and I now reside in Appleton, Wisconsin, but still following the A’s as closely as ever, if not more closely. Social media and MLB.tv help to eliminate the miles between me and my beloved team and I watch as many games as I can, often watching west coast night games the next morning and trying to avoid spoilers. What can I say – I’m a morning person. Modern technology is the best.
Thank you for checking out my blog. If you’d like to reach me via email, you can do so at kelly at athleticsforlife dot net. You can also find me on Twitter, talking mostly about the A’s and baseball in general, but occasionally other stuff as well. Go A’s!
