That’s the A’s current record with Conor Jackson on the team. Of course they are 0-1 in games he has started, but that’s not his fault.
From the leadoff spot (!) last night, Jackson was 2-for-3 with two singles and a walk, and was on the front end of a perfectly executed hit-and-run with Daric Barton. [...]

This is the first time this season I’ve taken a look at the team’s VORP standings on Baseball Prospectus. If you don’t know what VORP is, it stands for Value Over Replacement Player and you can read more about it here.

That is the great thing about baseball. You can be scuffling along, with little to no offensive output for nearly a week, and then BAM! Seven runs in three innings. 15 hits and 8 total runs in the game. From the Oakland A’s!
