2009: Last in the AL, 25th in MLB with a .397 slugging percentage.
2008: Dead last in all of MLB with a .369 slugging percentage.
2007: 11th in the AL, 23rd in MLB with a .407 slugging percentage.

It’s always a lot more fun to be on the other side of games like this, but hey, it’s going to happen. I was expecting to cap off the homestand with a win but got a yucky one-sided game instead. At least I was at work and didn’t watch it on MLB.tv.

Well we’d figure it’d be a low-scoring game with Rich Harden and Roy Halladay squaring off and it was. Unfortunately for the A’s, at least.

What a difference a week makes – going into the Red Sox series, I was feeling like I’d be OK if the A’s could just get one game. After all, they  hadn’t won a series since the beginning of the month and the A’s were on a 3-9 stretch.
